1. Windows --> edit file ..\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
2. Linux --> edit file /etc/hosts
   • add a line like this:
   • 91.134.114.129 alison.hine.net
   • and save the file
3. Windows requires to sort permissions: move the file to desktop, edit & save it, then move it again to its place
